After reading this article,

I just have some similar thoughts about it, which is more linked to my real life.
Actually, Facebook is not the only app that we would use to share our life and talk to our friends. But the truth is we use it more because the majority of people in the world use it. If we want to make friends with people all over the world, we wuld prefer it. Friends around me would like to use a software that most of the friends would use, where they can share their life to them. So sometimes I think that people may not really like it, but have to choose it because their friends are using it. And they don't want to feel lonely or lose contact with friends.
There is a word called 'Big data' nowadays, which is absolutely ceated by the new ways of media. Many companies or phychologists use that to find something about public thinking. Then they can produce someting catering to public taste, Which, actually, is good for the development of economy to some extent. But the problem is: do we really want it, people nowadays pay more attention to their privacy because it is so easy to leak information of yourself.
Besides, Jessica Elgot pointed out people may not learn how to get along. I have a similar experience. Some of my friends, who is shy or quiet, they don't talk a lot in the daily life. But they are actualy active online. They talk a lot and are really humorous sometimes. But when I talk to them face to face, they tend to escape from the conversation. They don't like the real talk, which we actually need to do it more. So, I am corious if they would be so talkative without this kind of media. So I think even though it is popular and fashionable, we can not lose the ability to talk in real life.
